If those are your only options, then yes. But when a rebuild turbo car is available? I'd definitely go turbo. That way you don't have to swap a new engine/tranny in later.

Who is to say a rebuild was done correctly? I would take a high mileage car in need of a rebuild and make sure it is done correctly.

go look at each one. whichever is not rusted through in the rear wheel wells is the car you should choose. from there, pick the next best condition. engines can be re-built cheaply, proper body work, not so much.
