i was also wondering if you can keep the stock preasure plate and just replace the clutch disk with an aftermarket on? anything wrong with doing that?

your stock PP will be worn...

ACT is pretty good, Ckanderson has em and usually can get em cheap. Personally I'm running an Action Stage 3 from driftmotion and love it...

looks like im going with the South Bend stage 3 6 puck race clutch, holds 520ft lbs. $450 does that seem like a good deal to anyone? anyone disagree?

if you search/research southbend, everybody is VERY VERY happy with there clutch... im going to be running a southbend clutch myself, its suppose to have a very stock feel to it, but still have that "grab" to hold down the power.

and there not some big name so the price is kept wayyyy down. and if you compare the ACT or a Spec clutch to a southbend, they look identical... lol

and i personally drove my friends eclipse that has a 4-puck, and i cant fuckin stand it. im so glad i got a full face disc. unless your want to make like 500ft. tq i dont see the need for the 4-puck...

but yes, its very worth the 450~ i got mine for 350 so i was even happier, it also includes everything, the PP bearing, pilot bearing (one in the crank).

like i said, same great clutch as spec or clucthmasters, act all of them, just without the big name price! (kinda like probe pistons)

4 puck is supposed to chatter like a bitch...

6 puck is nice, it will shudder a bit if you're at low RPMS and trying to slip it to move slowly. Just hit the gas a bit more and raise the RPM's and it goes away.

Mine will shudder like that, but I don't hear any chattering...
