just like it states...was wondering which mls mhg you all use and at what psi are you running.?? ive blown my second cometic mhg and yes is was done properly. but im at around 20 psi with supporting mods.

im looking into the hks...but not sure what the deal is with bead or stopper......? can someone from the community shed some light on this matter and help me choose which to get for my 7m? thanks a million.

You can "blow" any/all of the available MHG's, none of them are bulletproof if something goes wrong or the installation is subpar.

I've ran Cometics and HKS Stoppers at 30psi.

thats what i thought about cometic, and ive heard the hks was even better in the high boost area.....but in realtion to "stopper" or i think it was bead type, im not sure what the deal is.

and after inspection today...the dingleberry i trusted to do my build DID NOT torque my head studs correctly....from what i have gathered..no arp lube was used....and it was the second time around for these studs.... just goes to show..want shit done right...DO IT YOURSELF!!!!

^^just blew my headgasket 2 weeks ago
previous owner installed mhg and arp headstuds
back 4 studs around cylinder 6(which was the culprit for pressurizing coolant) had around 50ft lbs of torque(using my armtorquewrench lol)
i thought my rings where bad as well, also found that when gasket seal broke the exhaust gases where going through the oil drain from head to block lol
still doing rebuild regardless

There are many AssClowns working on these engines I wouldn't let touch a Briggs and Stratton...

Just because it has a nice parts list doesn't mean it's been done "correctly".

shows that a OEM HG with properly torqued heab bolts can withstand 17 psi on a 57mm trim with 550c/lexmaf and sometime overboost to 20 with no sign of bhg. While a poorly prepped mhg won't

using a OEM stock head gasket with proper torque on the bolts is a convinience more than anything, it will hold 350rwhp and maybe outperform that. but one single detonation and it's done.

you will sleep well better at night if you get yourself a MHG and prep the engine properly
