I will be dropping the 154 in real soon and was wondering about what the hot clutch set-up is.

Also, haven't read much in the forums about the lightened flywheels.
I had a Fidanza on my Conquest and it really made a difference, but that stock flywheel was 38lbs, the stock mkiii doesn't feel all that heavy to me.

Just wondering if I could get some feedback on this ...

Thanks

feedback comin right up:
i have a spec stage two, as do a few other people on this site. it engages nicley, like stock, chatters alittle in reverse, and is supposed to hold 450lt/lbs. can also stand up to some abuse. mine is slipping like crazy, but i dont know if it's something i did/didnt do or if its the clutch. i hesitate to blame the clutch. as for the fw, i resurfaced my old one and put it back in. but the lightened fw's free up alittle hp and allow the engine to rev easier, not like higher revs, faster revs. when you do the clutch replace everything that you can(RMS, some misalainious coolant hoses that you cant reach any other way). theres a thread about what to replace when doing the clutch, search.

I'm also wondering about this one, too. I'm leaning toward going with the RPS clutch that is rated to 525 lbs./ft. (crank or wheel?) and am undecided on a flywheel.

My current goal for RWHP and RWTQ is 400/400 once I get my SP61GT installed, so I figure I'll get something that can stand up to more, just to be on the safe side.

Not totally related, but I talked to a guy in Iwakuni, Japan with a GA70 that was really hoping to get chatter with the OS Giken clutch he was getting. It was something he liked because it meant to him that the car's clutch was badass.

I have the spec stage 3. It's a six puck, sprung, and I'm quite happy with it. I've got it matched to an RPS billet flywheel.

The Spec pressure plate is just a stock unit, repainted blue, so save yourself some coin and buy a stock one + a can of blue spraypaint.

I use a spec stage 2 with a spec flywheel and I think its great. Can be very chattery if you like to launch of start off slow with no throttle(more severely in reverse). So be warned; and if you have an Al driveshaft it resonates and sounds like its just going to fall apart, lol.

Hey guys,
I appreciate the feedback.

On my Quest I had the Fidanza with the ACT clutch and it never chattered.
It was the street/strip disc and the stage two pressure plate.

Thanks

Hoping to get some more feedback on these clutches, since-from my looking-they are NOT cheap. Don't want to buy one to find out I screwed up and bought the wrong one.

Thanks

Looking to drive it on the street mainly.
Maybe some weekend 1/8 mile.
Just want some good drivability and no catter or shudder.
