Which Intercooler?

Well I took my front end off, and my Intercooler is in tough shape. I'm going with a new IC and hardpipes and I'm kind of stuck between two.
Number 1
core length : 19.5"
core height : 9"
core thickness : 2.25"
inlet/outlet size : 2.25"
end to end length: 30"

total height: 12"





Number 2
core length : 24"
core height : 12"
core thickness : 4"
inlet/outlet size : 3"




Both IC's are about .2-2.0psi pressure drop. I'm leaning towards the first, it's smaller and probably better for my needs(don't plan on exceeding 450+hp anytime soon)
So which would be most efficient? easiest to mount?

Not a big fan of the 2nd type unless they're really HUGE as you're restricting flow by half.

If those are your choices, then I'd go for the first.

Otherwise, get a Spearco replica off of Driftmotion.com

The Spearco replica...how is the performance compared to the True Spearco? I know the Spearco's are awesome..but..Replica?

Wow how'd i forget the Spearco replica...Yea that's a better IC and cheaper too... I think I remember someone testing them and they flowed almost the same or damn near as well as the genuine Spearco. Alright thanks for the advice, will the spearco mount right up or do I get to have fun with fitting that sucker in there?

It can be easily adapted to your stock IC piping. You don't even have to remove your stock oil cooler It's good for about 400whp+
I'm going to be ordering one shortly...but damnit, I'm going to miss my stocker IC. We've been through a lot and she's kept me cold when I was hot...
