Like mentioned above, depends on what kind of driving you will be doing. A full face clutch will be more practical for everyday/traffic driving while the 6 puck would be more aggressive.

EDIT: After reading your mods in your sig, I would suggest going with the 6 puck. Iv only heard good things about driftmotions clutches.

The car is driven often. It will see very little 1/4 mile track time and around 3 autocross sessions a year.

The plan for the car power-wise is ~400hp and tq. I'm not really shooting for a number, I just want whatever I put in to hold up. I currently have ~5k miles on a StageII and it is already slipping. :(

There is no point in installing my 550's and turning up the boost with a slipping clutch. ;)

OS Giken triple plate. You will need no other clutch for the life of your car unless you plan to exceed 1000hp.

I'm happy with the ACT Stage 3 from Driftmotion.
Pedal stiffness is maybe 15% more than stock. Engagement is touchy/grabby but breaking it in will smooth it out. Somewhat streetable on stop and go traffic on steep city streets AKA San Francisco.
Hope that helps

I highly recommend the ACT XTSS. I pulled out a 6-puck because it made the car miserable to drive, and the XTSS setup is 100% smooth like stock. The only catch is the clutch pedal is stiff, but it is not bad at all. I have skinny legs and I don't get a sore leg driving the car at all, and it is NOT as stiff as the RPS 3200. It holds 522tq, and I'm putting down 400+ easily on my new turbo.

You won't get much feedback about this clutch because virtually no one else has one. I asked before I bought mine and no one even had one installed!

For safety, you should do the clutch switch bypass so you can start the car without having to put the clutch in and load the crank thrust washers, since the pressure plate is about 2600lbs I think.

If you want to make the journey to Vancouver, you can check it out.

To my knowledge, Driftmotion only sells ACT at this time.

I'd give the XTSS a go.
For your expectations, pedal stiffness is a small trade off compared to power handling in a DD while maintaining smooth engagement.
If you do manage to make it slip, the 6 puck disc is cheaper and a step up in power handling.

Now your making me try and change my order through Zankoku to this one. The other one was all out luckily so hopefully this works out.

Ok. Two very SOLID votes for the XTSS!

And just for the record. My choice is NOT between Driftmotion and HPF. It's between the clutches. ;)

I'm not sure how well the full-face organic disc of the XTSS will handle a lot of drag racing, but it is awesome on the street. I have done a few practice launches on a deserted side road and it launches well, but does emit that burning smell when slipped too much off the line.

A lot of people don't mind the harsher engagement of a 6-puck. I just got tired of having to rev the engine and slip it to reduce the harsh bucking and vibration, especially when stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, and easing up inclines in parking lots, etc. Mine was a unsprung 6-puck, so it may have been worse than average.

I did try Randy's car with HPF bronze disc and while it was reasonably smooth for a 6-puck, it was still not 100% smooth. If I eventually exceed the power holding up this clutch, I maybe just keep the pressure plate and throw in the bronze disc, as a compromise. These discs are supposed to be the smoothest slipping material for a 6-puck, although I am still not sure if they run the risk of welding/fusing to a Fidanza/aluminum flywheel.

The welding part would be a concern as I have a fidanza. I'm pretty sure I'll give the XTSS a try and like you, keep the pressure plate and put a different disk in when the time comes.
