Just wondering what the Supra owners have as thier BOV and what do you guys advise me in getting??

I use a TurboSmart type 3 plumback but they have a new product out that looks like a direct fit to replace the plastic stockers!

HKS SSQ, good sound and function. Had a Greddy Type S, sounded awsome but like the SSQ much more.

Blitz SS, I love it. It has a great sound, not loud but just a nice kind of whoosh of air.

I have a SSqV FLANGE and recirculation valve - waiting to buy the valve. I have a Blitz DD on a hardpipe for a MkIV, but I don't think I will use it. In fact, I might just sell it ad put the cash towards a SSqV.
I am seriously thinking about using the SSqV and replacing the fin insert with either a purple insert or just the recirculation valve fitting without hooking it back to the intake stream. This will be done after I do the 2JZ swap. It should give excellent holding and response without the annoying high-pitched sound indicative of the SSqV.

I hate to say it, but over time, I've seen that the SSqV is the BOV choice of ricers due to the noise. Now, most Honda kids are doing well if they at least turbo their car, but when they choose the BOV for noise over function, it's stupid. They want - no, NEED people to know that their car is turbocharged. This is unfortunate, because it IS a great BOV.

I love the sound of my SSQV with a gold insert and may i also point out that the SSQV is made so it is impossible to leak boost.

Then again... I loved the stealthyness of my regular HKS sequential BOV from back in the day. :biglaugh:

just got the 88 turbo up and running with the sp58 and the hks ssq... oh my god. that bov is pure sex. the sound it makes is undescribable<sp> I love it

One BOV that I thought sounded great was the HKS Racing BOV. If I am correct, Mark Tozer had it on his car during a video on a highway on-ramp, running a RPS T-66 and the HKS Ti Racing exhaust. If you get a higher horsepower car, it might be one to try.

I have an HKS racing BOV, and Im tempted to put it on. Right now Im running the Blitz SS, and Im not such a big fan of it. Its quiet below 14psi.
