it seems like it just disappears yesterday it started to overheat and was down about 2 lrs then i filled it and most of it leaked out again, i think its going out the overflow when the cars running? bad rad cap? i thought it might be a bhg but i checked the compression and all 6 were 120 almost exactly dead on sp i dont know? any ideas?

check the rad cap first, that's always a possibility. Next check would be to see if there's any hoses that have cuts/holes in them that it's steaming out of. I had one of those, it was pretty obvious though, it would steam a little while it was on, maybe not enough to notice, but as soon as you turned the car off it was like a navy catapault vented.

If it's not those two, you might be looking at a BHG. Unfortunately a compression check is not definitive a lot of the time. I assume there's no oil in the coolant (you'd have noticed/mentioned that), check for coolant in the oil, and next step would be to check for exhaust gas in the coolant (you can get a test kit at NAPA).

check the nugget box, first

then

fill the radiator, then run the car for about 20 minutes, and see if anythings leaking, rev it a little bit,

also if theres anywhite smoke coming out of the exhaust that would prove your head gasket is bad. but you probly just have a leak.

I was losing coolant as well, my water pump was leaking, so I fixed that, then my rad started leaking from the top tank once the pump was fixed. Couldn't see it till it till the split got really bad (since when your driving the steam gets dispersed by the air).

Do the checks that were posted in the previous post. Then do this.....with the motor cold remove the rad cap. Start your motor and watch what happens with the coolant. It should not start over flowing imediately, if it does like in less that 30 seconds welcome to the wonderful world of BHG.

My car did the same and it was a tell tale sign of a BHG. Hope it turns out to b something minor, but as they say hope for the best and b prepared 4 the worst.

if coolent is pushing out of the over flow bottle period, it's a bhg,

i have a mhg, and didn't prep the block right, did the head correctly, and while boostin im pushing compression past the head gasket,

and 120psi is low numbers.. did you do a compression test at wot? and have a batterie charger on your car while doing the test?

if so, then i would reccomend a rebuild, and get it done right the first time.

these cards are wonderfull cars to drive if you dont have head achs constantly with them.

happy boostin.

Coolant coming out of the overflow bottle isn't an ABSOLUTE indication of a BHG...it also could very well be the radiator cap. I had an issue with coolant pushing from the overflow bottle after I replaced the head gasket (also replaced rad. cap with a new Toyota one...The brand new cap turned out to be bad, i tested it, and it was only holding around 10psi, when it should have been 13...replaced cap, and it has been fine for close to nine months now.

your right john, it's not 100% possible, i thought i had a bad cap for awhile too,

i pressure tested it , it held 15 psi? wtf... any ways, i tried replacing every thing in the book, and i finaly got ahold of a bhg tested. and while driving around normal i was bhg free. but boostin pushed compression into my cooling system, and resulted in pushing out my water. which also show positive for a bhg,
