I got a 10x11 B&M cooler i hope to be installing this Friday. As of now i just my canton adapter and my permacool remote filter head. The cooler is pretty big and the only place i can get it to fit is under the driver side headlight. The outlet come out above and below the frame rail for the cooler. The filter will go either where it is now but higher or on the driver inside frame rail. Im not so sure on the thermostat. I have a shimmed pump but will all this be to much hoses? Will i need a check valve?

an oil thermostat will regulate the temperature. if you want to keep your filter under you P/S headlight, I'd say go with the filter under the D/S. That's where I have mine. Mine is 8x11x1.5 with an e-fan on the backside.

Not sure if this will help but here is how I mounted mine. Maybe you will get some ideas from it

Moy,

Exactly how I wanted to run mine!

92NSX,
I like your setup but I'm still running a stock IC. With the in/outlet facing up it less susceptible to draining back into the pan. I wonder if it will be a problem if I mount it on its side.

Most people mount their coolers either to the ac condenser or the back of the intercooler. I have my on my intercooler. I had to trim my coolers edge fins down to fit it in. If you're running anything wider than a 3" IC, you'll need to go the condenser route.

How do you route it between the condensor and radiator? I could get it to fit behind the IC if I move the horn but I'm worried about transferring head to the radiator. It would cut down on hose length though.
