Guys I want to get a intake hard pipe. who has a good one that will make more power and i need an accordian hose also who has the best intake system for the mk3
A set of intercooler hardpipes? Suprasport has a set of 2.5 inch pipes and you can order either piece or both. Accordian hoses can be had at the dealer. Ask for one for an 89 you get a better price, no one knows why the pre-89s are more expensive, as its the same exact part.
I recently found out that the pre 89 and the 89+ accordian pipes are NOT the same. I'll try to get a pic, but one of the hoses that comes out of the top is at a different angle.
I know some people might not like this idea but who cares it works. I was at my friends shop shoot....about a 8mo. ago having my car put up on a rack so I could install hardpipes. When underneath the car I had to take off the plastic cover on the pass. side in front of the wheel to get to everything. Well I was looking at the gap between my pass. headlight and intercooler pipe when I thought of the idea of putting my intake/filter outside the engine bay. I looked around my friends shop for an extension from my maf intake adapter to the whole in front of it and down. I couldn't of came across a better pipe. It is actualy an intake pipe for an Eclipse. The pipe had a AEM sticker and rubber AEM coupler. If interested I can find out the year it came off and post pics. It mounted perfectly to my maf adapter and routed straight out the intake hole and had a slight down angle which kept it under my headlight and above my intercooler. You don't have to drive around whith your headlights up but I roll them up just slightly to get a true ram air. If you look down my headlight you can see the filter. Hope this helps. Side note I know of a couple very souped up Supras who mount the filter outside and in front of the car. Later-T
Order that pipe directly from greg @ Cooleeze. I found his pricing direct to much substantially cheaper then the ones listed on SupraSport. It looks like a nice product and it ceramic coated as well!
I have a question regarding the Cooleeze pipe. I would like to get one of those after I install my Map-ECU and then remove the AFM. I want to keep my intake filter close to the snorkle hole... anyone know who sells a replacement pipe for the ? AFM? I think HKS used to sell one for the VPC, but I have not seen one of those in a while.
I was planning to go to the Lexas Mod AFM and plug all the holes. You get it without the guts so its hollow. But thats because I need it to look stock.
You could probably just get a pipe and cut it to the right length.
And go with a general install K & N.
