i was looking at some recaro seats online a couple days ago, and remembered some magazine had featured a car whos owner purchased some bride seats and matching material to cover the rear seats, too...

so, i was wondering.
has anyone come across a source that sells bulk material as used by popular sport seat manufacturers?

Hopefully, unless it's sort of specific.

If anyone can find me a place that has fabric matching the stock 86 Corolla GT-S seat cloth... there would be cash in it for them, let's put it that way, heh.

:)

Normally I could help here... my mother has an account at the fabric wholesaler here. I have gotten just about anything from them - from silk to upholstrey to leather to drapery fabric... they even carry that thick quilted stuff they line elevators with when people are moving.

Unfortunately, she just had some surgery, so she's off her feet for the next couple months. :(

I seriously suggest you make friends with someone who has a similar account. :D

When she get's better, let me know, heh. I'd like to know if she has access to anything like what I need. I've spent hours at local upholstery places looking through catalogs with no luck, so it can never hurt to try other options.

It's a very soft velour-type material, and does not have any grain variations based on the pattern, only colour variations. Stupid Toyota, lol, I love the material though.

I've decided I'm not going to settle for anything but the same material, so I may be searching North America/Japan to find what I need if I need something.
