Where to buy Walbro and a few ?'s

Well Its time to replace my tired stock fuel pump with an aftermaket one. Where have you guys bought your Walbro fuel pumps from? I really want a genuine Walbro and don't want to risk buying a fake. Also what mods are neccesary for the Walbro intall? I heard something about the J tube mod? is it cnessary, and what does is consist of? And about the 12V mod, but is the 12v mod really necessary? And what other mods do I have to do for the Walbro 255lph pump? My supra is currently BPU, stock fuel system though.

Also, I was looking at few threads and some members on here seem to not like the Walbro Fuel pumps and they prefer MK4 pumps or a Denso and even Bosch fuel pumps. Also will I be okay without the 12V mod>? What are the prices of a 255 LPH Denso pump? Or a stock mk4 pump? Thanks guys.:biglaugh:

I always buy from Aaron when I can. He's helped me out a lot in the past. Just a suggestion. They sell them on eBay also.

As far as what you should use.. I think you are going to get good and bad comments for the pumps you have listed. I have had a Walbro pump in both of my supras and have had no problems. I got both of them from members here. I think one of the guys in the vendors section sells them. Search that section.

Yeah Driftmotion seems to have the best deal on these pump's so far.


A friend of mine has a Walbro 255lph that his Srt-4, alhought he never installed it, and he said he could sell it to me. So does anyone know if the srt-4 Walbro is the compatible with the MK3 Walbro style pump?

As long as the fuel sock is similar, it'll fit in about as well as a MKIII one will.


I would highly recommend a MKIV TT pump though.

I forget who I bought mine from, it was either 935, DM or HPF... in any case:

The j-tube bypass will be needed. The restriction is too small to support the flow of an aftermarket fuel pump(or MKIV TT, etc.) Shaeff has the writeup here.

drjonez here on the forums sells them too. Watch out on ebay, many of them are fake wallypumps. I believe drjonez sells them through ebay, too, so you could check his auctions.

His are legit, and I'm sure that driftmotion's are also legit.
