I'm in for a response as well, because I heard silicone hose pinch shut under vacuum when it gets down to a certain ID, and I'm wondering if there's any truth in that (if it's a certain brand that does it).

you will need approximatly - 4mm 20 feet, 6mm 4 feet and 8mm 3 feet and a razor blade to cut to length if you buy bulk hose. you can ask your local parts store, or even ebay. as for pinching shut if they are to thin i can see it happening. heres a set on ebay and you can see thickness diff

just remember though this is not the area you want to cheap out on, casue if the line fails, pinches shut, you car will run like crap, then you get the fun of chasing down the vacuum leak. which is almost always the lines under the intake that are a slut to get at.

i have used cheap silicone hose for IC connectors, and the didnt last. and with the ic pipe off, i overspooled and fraged the turbo aswell. got some more expensive one and they held up good. so in the long run, its cheaper to buy the better quality outright, so you dont buy the same part twice

*end rant*

My car had silicone lines on it when I bought it. Without running it, I could tell that they were deformed from collapsing under vacuum, and the ends were stretched on some so they wouldn't stay on, which I'm guessing allowed them to be blown off under boost. I changed out all the lines for rubber ones and haven't had a problem with it. If you really want the cool colors, get a can of spray paint and some rubber lines. Sure it will look rice, but so does silicone.

Had silicone hoses on my car for something like 15 years. Never had a problem and they were still like new when I got rid of it. The trick with this stuff is to get ones with a high silicone content and thick wall but since the two typically go hand in hand it shouldn't be a problem.

Don't use silicone on the brake booster unless it's been sprung...

I got the hose techniques kit, they have great quality, comes with zip ties, cigar cutter, a list of what size goes where, and a piece of candy that says I heart hose techniques. When I ordered mine 2 months ago they told me that they are not making colored hoses (not enough demand for them) so only black was available, although they said if there was enough interest in a certain color they would produce them again. Then the next time I talked to them they told me they were doing a short run of red and blue for an over seas customer so I had a chance to get my blue but it would have been another month for them to make them and I couldn't wait that long so I stuck with black. If you do order them be prepared to wait a couple of weeks because they make them when you order, but again GREAT quality.

I've bought a ton of hose and couplers from siliconeintakes.com and have always been happy with their product and their prices... and they're somewhat local, so they get here real quick. :D

Yes, it works fine; Just use zip ties to clamp the hose at the end of all the lines.
