you'll be able to get a swap with a tranny but i doubt you'll be able to find one that is built. the 1jz's can handle a good amount of power so you won't need to build it unless your shooting for 800+ hp and i don't think you'll find one that is direct drop in. all of them need to be wired in with mounts and some other work on the accessaries. you should search this topic before you decide to get one to make sure you can finish the project because its not as cheap as you think and neither is it quick, it takes some work

Ok thanks,I guess the day i posted I got desperate. I like the car so much that I wanted a fix right away. I miss driving it. My first post should have been what to do now that my 7mgte is blown( not totaly but got rod nock #5 piston), I can ether get a swap(1jz or 2jz) or rebuild my engine 7mgte.I have plans for future upgrades on the horse power (arround 500hp). So what do i do.Need advice.

I agree, I'm researching the JZ swap as well. I have a bunch of info if you need to ask something let me know, there are quite a few things you'll need to get it done. The best way to do it is to get a front clip. They are cheaper than a few years ago and have most of the stuff needed to do the swap. Easiest way hands down.

BUT, from what I searched, it will be cheaper getting everything separate like you said. It takes longer because you have to find all of the parts first of all, also you have to get a good deal on the engine to keep the costs down.

If it was me, I would have gotten the clip. Too late for me.

i bought a motor set and at the end i ended up spending the same amount for a clip but i got all the parts i wanted like a single turbo setup. i think the motor set with a single setup is about the same as a front clip

If the swap of the jz costs more than 3200 i would go with the 7m rebuld

its gonna cost around there or a little more depending on how much you get the motor set for or the clip

it just depends, a front clip is suppose to make it easier but a motor set will do just find. you'll just have to do more part searching

costs just about that maybe a little more but you net more power :)

Has anyone ever bought an engine online from any trusted website?
Also, I saw info that the 1jz having a faulty pcv valve is it true?Because im concerned about the ceramic turbos seals. I plan to run them stock for a while?

there are many websites you could buy from like driftmotion and kaizen. just do a search many of them will come up. the chances of getting stock twins that are already bad is pretty high because of that... when i got my motor my twins were bad, i had to change my plans and save for a single turbo kit. just plan for the worst incase something is wrong, the twins are well known for going bad
