Where does everyone buy their parts?

I have noticed that there are not very many parts suppliers for us MkIII owners. I am doing a "kinda" rolling resto with my 90 targa N/A, and I have only really had luck getting parts from E-bay and C-list. I am kinda new to this whole Supra game. I come from a family of muscle car guys, and I have had a string of old british cars.

What is unobtainium? What is just plain not available? What can simply be picked up at the dealer? Where do you get your parts?

Is there some lost treasure chest of NOS parts? Who do I call, where do I go?

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

theres an entire vendor section on this site.. and there is also a classifieds section here too.. ALSO there's a sticky thread somewhere listing all vendors

I buy from all of the above, but mostly from the classified section of this site.

I usually have a list of things I need and money for them, but I refrain from purchasing until I find a good deal on the classified section.

Some highlights from using this method are:

Complete exhaust from local for 400 including BIC DDP rerouted, and apexi muffler
AVCR for around 200
CT26 60-1 for like 150

Right now I'm waiting on a complete set of hardpipes and an intercooler, as well as a partout of a homo blue supra. I know where I can buy these parts right now, but I'm a cheap bastard so I'm waiting for a good deal.

Plus if I buy used I am much more likeyl to recoup my money if I ever part out my car, whereas new parts lose value as soon as the box is opened.

Yeah, I guess I should have mentioned that I have already bought a bunch of stuff from the classifieds (both here, and at that other supra based grouping of web....um...forums).

Are there any parts that just plain are not available? if I come across something in my searches, what is the thing that I should "stock up" on?

I know that engine harnesses for pre-89 are getting more scarce.
Not sure about interior pieces, but that's all that comes to mind as being possibly difficult to get

Interior parts unless like in cf or fb most are discontinued from toyota and no parts stores carry them.

There are plenty of aftermarket stores that carry all the suspension, brakes, exterior, and engine parts.
