I am a bit confused on what wires go to what. I have gone through the TSEM and I have figured out what the wires from the plug are along with their color. but I can't find what the colored wires from the main harness are or connect to. Basically can anyone take a peek at my pictures and tell me what wire goes into what?

Thanks everyone:1zhelp::icon_bigg

Looked at the tewd's for 88- and 89+. Don't see all those colors for the MAF(colors to MAF remained unchanged thru the years.).
Only yellow wire I see going to the ecu is for FP. Can you unwrap that tape a bit farther to verify nothing was spliced higher up?

Yes sir! That is the exact problem I face. Well at least now I know that the MAF wired don't change. I'll check the wires a little higher. The car is not mine so I have little knowledge about its history

Ok, so I unraveled the wires to the point where it starts to cross the cam covers and that yellow wire is indeed a toyota wire. I eventually fixed the MAF wires by switching themaaround till the car fired off. (very unorthodox but hey, it worked.) This is how I wired the wires in case someone else has a problem like this too.

- the brown wires go to brown, I don't know how to tell what they are unless they are still attached to the plug. ( BRN either E1 or E2 )

- Blue with Red stripe went to Blue with Red stripe. ( L/R aka. VC )

- Light Green with Red stripe went to Yellow. ( LG/R aka. KS )

- Light Green went to Blue with Yellow stripe ( LG aka. THA )

Look man, I'm gonna be honest..... I'm pretty much an idiot with wires and harnesses. The car isn't mine, I have little history on its molestation. Those wires on the harness loom pictured above were indeed connected to that cars original MAF plug. Reason for replacement was that a couple of the wires got hard and brittle and we're broken from the base of the plug. When I cut the bad plug off to replace it with a good one I assumed that the wires would all be colored accordingly and I would have no problems however, that was not the case. By the time I caught my mistake it was too late and the garbage where i put the bad plug was picked up by the garbage truck.

Now I looked about as good as I could in the TEWD and the yellow wire has a lot of people stumped. ... according to the manual the yellow wire goes to the Fuel Pump. But when the car arrived at my shop (Running on all 6)(Also I am a non professional) the wires above were connected to the MAF.
