When turbo kicks in i lose all power.

ok Ive searched the forums and i cant find out anything. I just bought an 89 turbo automatic. i had to put a new tranny in it and wen i took it out for a test drive i lose all power when the turbo spoils up. its all stock. Ive replaced all the spark plugs and coil packs and the intake and turbo has also be replaced from a donnor car that i have and i no they worked on that car. please help i dont no what to do next

do a boost leak test. I made one just like this and found several small leaks. fixed them and ta da... 12psi.

i would double check your intercooler connections... especially if you were dicking with the turbo... could be quite a few possible leaks.

hey thanks it was the hole intercooler. aparantly the previous owner tried to fix it once before with some wierd glue type stuff. but i swapped it out and now she runnin like a champ. thanks for all the help
