so the weather is getting colder, and aside from the gas shocks not holding up the rear hatch anymore, not too much is going wrong (knock on wood).

except for the door locks. i have to manually lock the doors because it seems like the 'noids or whatever operates the lock isnt getting enough power. when i lock it, the locks will click over about halfway (not enough to lock) and i have to push them the rest of the way.

any ideas?

Dude, atleast yurs kinda work, lol, mine are worthless... One of the previous owners put an aftermarket alarm, and my power door locks are f'd up... And I have to unlock my passenger door before i unlock my driver's door or else the alarm will go off and/or the starter kill goes into affect...

I havent spent much time chasing it down, but I will one day...

The switch on your driver's side door lock barrel is probubly broken or dirty. Thats what triggers the Arm/Disarm of the alarm when you turn the key. Take the thing out, spray some WD40 or some parts cleaner and clean it good and put it back on. The Lock should start working again.

I agree with the clean and lube. Just stick some lock lube in all the locks every month or so and you will have no problems. Forever.

so cleaning and lubing the locks should make em smooth enough to click over in colder weather?

haha, that heater is always kicking...gets hot after about 3 mins of driving and feels damn good in the winter

Well thats because the locks need cleaning and lube, so there is a lot of resistance. While your in there, you should clean the connectors and the grounds, for better current flow.:icon_mad: :icon_razz
