Whats up? My name is Justin im from winston-salme NC, just bought a red 89 non turbo 5 speed for $700, no engine though. A little back ground, just got out of the coast guard, was a diesel mechanic. New to the supra, but am really excited about this project. Needing to find another 7MGE, any recomendations on where to get one in good condition? And also do they have the HG issues that the GTE's have?

Welcome to Supramania. If i was to start out with a shell i'd go with a 7MGTE. Since your have no motor in the car why not try to source out a turbo motor and drop it in and call it a day. Get a ECU, and electronics and other misc. Thats my $.02 and good luck with everything.
