Doh

Can i use the one i already have from my 7M if it's missing

does the ECU get any readings from it? does it need that to work properley?

If not i might just go buy a aftermarket boost gauge instead

EDIT:

here is a picture of the clip i am going to purchase

boost sensor has nothing to do with the ecu at all. it just goes from the boost gauge control box to the sensor.

ya the one you have already works fine... Mine is still hooked up although pretty useless since it pegs the gauge even at stock boost so you're going to want an aftermarket one anyway...

aight peace :chicken:

Gonna keep that steering wheel? :naughty:

I haven't decided yet if i want to keep it or not.

I know i am going to sell the Bilstien shocks thats the yellow things in the picture. LOL

I have a 90 with the cruise control in the steering wheel. I was going to see if i could jack the one off of the clip and use that wheel. i like CC for those lazy highway cruis'n days.

But on the same note if i get offered enough cash i will probably let it go to re-coupe some of what i spent to buy the clip.

I know there is a nasty gash in the leather on the top of the wheel though
and as you can see from the pic there is not center cap or "Supra Cover" with it

I will also probably sell the JDM side markers. at a quick glace they seemed to be in pretty good shape. I have no clue why people like them.

My boost guage does the same thing as Joe's. He's right, get an aftermarket one. Otherwise your going to be looking at a pegged boost gauge and have no clue how much boost you're running. Good luck on the swap. You'll love the 1J, trust me.:naughty:

thnx for the info. I think i am going to go with Defi for gauges. I know they are pricey but buy them slowly is my plan one at a time starting with a boost gauge ;)

i have been looking around for people sites and detailed explanation of everything to do in the swap.

Do you guys have any lists of sites to check out.

I will be pretty much doing this myself. I am not the most proficient with sodering wires. So the easier in that area the better.

Any help would be much appreciated

Hey now, I know my motor has a few minor things I need to do to it, but it shreds my tires. This is 1st-2nd gear. 2nd gear would have been longer if I didn't have to hit the brakes to make the turn. And I know it took me a while to shift, I don't have a bushing right now for my shifter. :(
