The engine i'm about to buy. Has a slight oil leak in the turbo. It burns the oil after the car is shut off. is that the gasket?

Unlikely. It's probably the oil seals in the turbo - they are considerably tougher to replace than your average gasket.

So why don't you just take the engine and leave the bov. You just wanna say you have a BOV, thats why. So your going to take longer to find an engine and leave your car off the road for another six months just because you want a bov. You just got your car on the road not even for two months.
