run 50/50, its the only mixture you should ever run in a normal seasonal atmosphere.

Maybe Canada might need slightly more AF in the mix but Pennsylvania, 50/50 is fine.

Defiantly recommend the Toyota red, its slightly more expensive but its worth it. Pre mix is nice but why pay for water?

Just buy 2 gallons of antifreeze, and be sure to drain the block so the entire system is empty. pour one gallon in, fill the now empty bottle with water and pour that in. (it should take 2 gallons, one of coolant and one of water 50-50 mix) (if it doesnt take all of the gallon of water, its like fuel, better rich then lean.) after that gallon is empty then pour half the second bottle into the empty container. now you have 2 half gallons of antifreeze, add water and you have effectively 4 gallons of 50/50 mix. 2 in the motor and 2 already mixed in the garage for next time.

after you do it once or twice and have left over bottles, it becomes easier.

so then go to the grocery store and buy distilled water if your that worried about it. ive been running toyota red and tap water for 2 years now and its still crystal clear.

if you buy premix your paying 13 bucks (or whatever the going rate is, havnt bought it in a while) for 1 gallon of 50-50 coolant if you buy straight red and then buy 2 gallons of distilled water at a grocery store for like a dollar each. you have 2 gallons of 50-50 mix for $2 more.

where you live, 50-50 is a good Idea, but depending on where you live, you could run less antifreeze.

Could, but water like to boil by itself.

I run straight distilled water with water wetter.
Just hoping corrosion won't catch up to you?

To whoever said distilled water doesn't boil... LOL

One more thing, I don't believe Toyota red coolant is available pre-mixed. The pre-mixed is the pink stuff IIRC.
