with the hydro fan? Only one I've found is a Koyo on ebay. Is that good or should I just stick with the factory radiator?

I plan on sticking with the twins, so I won't be pushing the motor much.

Since the oil ist watercooled also. It is important to have a working radiator. Koyo is the best for hydrofan setup. But decide on yourself, if you take the small copper radiator or the bigger alumi-radiator.

Koyo was designed for the JZA70 application and is perfectly set up for the Hydrofan!!! +1 for the Koyo

Electric fans?!? Yeah...just put a plug in the hole for the 1jz temp sensor...or put the temp sensor for the electric fans in that hole if it'll fit.

lot of recent 1j questions about radiators, doesn anyone know if the PWR will fit with the 1j motor since it's a good bit thicker than the fluidyne or the koyo?

not hijacking just asking...

I kept the radiator with my auto NA car... just got it tested and cleaned before going that route though.. had it been damaged or didnt put up the numbers then I would of had to get a new one... nice thing about it is... I used the auto tranny cooler thats on the bottom of my radiator to run my PS fluid though ooooooooooooooooo. heh saved room and works great. And I dumped the Hydro set up... less drag.

I got my Koyo for my 7M and was stoked to find that it's designed for the 1JZ Hydrofan set up. I've got a pretty good story on the Koyo. I live in New Mexico and one summer, I thought I might have another BHG. So, I took the car in to have the cooling system leak down tested. The shop that did the test, jacked up the neck of the radiator so the cap wouldn't seal and the radiator wouldn't build pressure. I didn't find out until like 3 weeks later when I was checking my fluids and I had been driving around in 100+ degree summer heat and the temp guage never crept above the normal range. I'd say that is a pretty good testament to the quality and cooling ability of the Koyo radiator to keep the damn thing cool w/o being at pressure.

I use koyo too i think koyo is the thickest and the only one that can come with the thermo sensor hole put a switch in the for your E-FAN i have not found one threaded the same though for 160-170 deg.

I am so in love with my koyo.

By the way good idea on using your lower watercooler for your p/s cooler i was going to do that to. i dont think the koyo's come with that for the auto but! use the hydrofan cooler it looks better and it haves both openings on one side! so it makes a perfect cooler but you have to flip it over and make a custom bracket to use it.
