I have a '93 GMC that I just finished putting in a 350(nowhere near stock!!!) Temp stays around 235, even running down the hwy. Have a new 3 core radiator, dual electric fans, new water pump & high performance thermostat. I think a freeze plug got knocked in & stuck in the block when I put it in the shop to be bored & cleaned up. A friend says that it needs a 4 core radiator. Any suggestions? I only drive Toyota's. This is my first non-Toyota! I also need advice on my '87 Supra. The kid that had it before me didn't appreciate what he had. Yesterday, I lost my harmonic balancer & crank, thanks to him screwing up the key slot on the crank & losing the key. I found out a little too late! I have another 7 MGE out of an '89 Cressida that I flipped. I'm going to pull the balancer & crank out of it & put in my Supra tomorrow. Now, I've heard a suggestion that I could pull the pistons from the 7 MGE & put them in place of the Supra ones & I would gain a little more uumphh. Would this work? I blew a HG on the Cressida & did the work myself. Not too sure about this turbo stuff. Love to drive it... but a little scary to work on it! I only rebuilt 22RE's until the Cressida & now into turbos!!! :1zhelp:

Is your Supra a turbo? I think that the 7M-GE pistons in a 7M-GTE would up the compression, and that COULD be a bad thing. If your Supra is a non-turbo, there shouldn't be a difference between the pistons.
