so i just got another job and i graduate next week. i have 4 months till i turn 18 and get kicked to the curb. i can do anything i want in this time and have no bills. supra number 1 is toast. im picking up a very clean fully loaded 87 non turbo auto 100k miles with a seized engine. i will swamp in my motor and take any salvage parts of the other engine for spare or rebuild with best parts altogether. now say i have this very clean car with the engine that runs.

down the road would you dump some cash into it and covert it to turbo OR find a turbo model in the same condition? do you find it ethically wrong to convert an N/A to turbo? does it decrease the value? will it just always be a "conversion"? are people anal about the vins matching etc? how would the value stand up to an originally turbo to a converted turbo? and finally is it even worth it? i see that original turbos are worth about 2 or 3 times more than an N/A in the same exact condition

about where im going in 4 months, im moving in with my coolest uncle for a very minimal fee.hes never home (works in the bay) and has had a huge bedroom(twice the size of my current room) with a bathroom in it empty for 5 years. i already talked to him and he has no problem with it. i will not move in with this girl. she will disappear. i am also already enrolled in a community college.

i would like to hear your opinions about conversion and experiences. thanks

Sorry for the thread jack man.

The reality of the situation is, you are going to do what to do no matter what we or anyone says.

In my current situation, I am actually thinking about parting ways with my supra as much as it would make me sad, I have to worry about bigger things like school, rent, etc...

Whatever you decide to do, best of luck to you. Just make sure you think it through.

Remember SCHOOL FIRST, without an education it is very tough to get anywhere in life worthwhile, not saying it cant be done, just that its tough.

i do not understand why people are still voting for bills. I DO NOT HAVE ANY BILLS

But, in your last thread, you said you were paying your way for everything... How can you NOT have bills?

If I were you, I'd be putting the money aside for when you move out, and NOT wasting it on a car.

But, as per your last thread, I doubt you will take on board anything we tell you.
