a friend of mine has bought a supra. headgasket was blown, so we did it. runs fine. turbo oil drain line fractured and was leaking everywhere. so, ordered jblmk3's ss braided ct26 line and am waiting on arrival.
in the meantime, he pulls the turbo off and cleans up the area around it.
so as he is scraping the feed/return gasket off of the turbo, his stepdad just fucking loses it. apparently he is scraping off the gasket with a putty knife of his stepdads that was laying on the workbench under a bunch of tools.
promptly apologizing, he explains that he will purchase a new putty knife at the store tomorrow.
stepfather goes on ranting about something like "thats not the point" or something along those lines... blah blah blah.
so, the situation escalates and my friend is unsure how to slow this downward spiral of "you have no respect for what is mine" and so on. before you know it, his stepfather picks up a claw hammer thats laying on the ground and he throws it.
throws it in the direction of the supra.
and it smashes into the fender, creating a large dent that only a hammer thrown from 25 feet away could.
now, for someone who is trying to teach the values of respecting others property, havent we just taken 9 steps backwards?
as such, when i heard this, a lump formed in my throat. followed by some sort of rage and now finally, some thoughts of revenge or retaliation.
my question is this:
what would you do in a situation such as this?
