I'm deffinantly wanting a bronze wheel, or black with polished lip for my 86.5 Burgundy MKIII. My problem is choosing one. I know I deffinantly wanted 9.5 or 10 inch for the rear, and 8-8.5 for the front. 18's are to big and 16 are to small, lol. Obviously I wanna stick to 17's but I'm having a hella hard time finding that right set of wheels. I read the fitment thread but I'm not in complete understanding of all the numbers. I would like some opinions from you all. What would look good, what wouldn't, what my options are. I'm still new to supras even though i did previously have an 88 NA (ex-wife wrecked it before I could have my fun, :( ) Anyways, I really appreciate it, thanks.

Oh wow you said hella..

Anyways there are many pics of wheels and fitment in the sticky in this section. (link in my sig as well)

As for offsets it is safe to go around +35 in those sizes but that depends on your alignment settings.

I guess I forgot to mention that I wanted 5 spoke, which is why my options are limited, that and I won't put american racing wheels on a non-american car, lol. Anyways I recently thought about the MKIV wheels and have em powdercoated a dark gun metal grey, or was that a stock color? My only problem is they didn't sit flush, but otherwise i like the look and they are stock (well, newer stock, lol). I guess i could use a spacer? or what? I don't want skateboard wheels on a supra.

I have about the same exact requirements for wheels and am planning on a set of 5zigen fno1r-cs someday when I have enough money to not mind dropping a bunch on a set of wheels =) They have bronze and black w/polished lip and are reasonably priced and very lightweight. 5-spoke and come in good offsets and widths for the Supra =)

i know its not bronze but the MKIV TT rims look nice on MKIII's..... 17x8 front and 17x9.5 rear

Thats what I was thinking. I see alot of folks have the MKIV TT Rims in a dark grey or black? was there an option like that on em or is that them getting them powder coated, because there are alot that are the same color.

Limited? Last time I checked there are plenty of 5spoke, 35+ offset options. Check my profile their are some pictures of my 5spokes. Sportmax 962's around a grand for a set.

Here's the 5zigen rims rtrdpenguin mentioned, these are 17's. Look great without being too flashy, pretty light, and won't cost you a semesters tuition.

(picture of 2-tone grey car[/QUOTE]

Wow! Do you know whose car this is? I've always liked the 2-tone greys but haven't seen one in close to this condition before. The fancy 2500 twin turbo things on the doors are pretty cool too.

My choice so far, or the sportmax's, but i think these 5zigen's will go better with the burgundy IMHO. Will the 10 inchers fit on the back okay with no rubbing, as far as width goes? of course I know to grab the 8 inchers for the fron and I don't think they would rub, correct me if wrong?

I'm pretty sure some people have run 10.5" rear 17 inch 5zigens so the 10" should be no problem. 8" for front seems to be fine too. A good number of people have these wheels and I know there are a few specs posted on the wheel fitment thread.
