I'm doing a wiring tuck and want to drill a hole in my firewall somewhere behind my intake manifold to put my engine harness through. I will be wrapping the harness in high temp split loom wrap and electrical tape, but I need to know of there is any additional protection I should use to protect my harness. Thanks.

Too bulky. I will be feeding the connectors through 1 at a time, and nothing else will be going through the hole besides the harness (unlike the stock harness rubber grommet boot). Maybe use split loom around the inside of the hole?

Get a rubber grommet online that is made for the size that you are looking for?

try taking a piece of 3/8's hose slicing it down the middle and slip it around the hole.

sorry, didnt see that someone else posted that.

yep, i love those and use them all the time for running cable at work.

they are called cable grips or strain reliefs.

best part about it is the internal rubber seal that keeps moisture out, which would be handy for what you are doing.

cheap cheap:

edit: upon further thought, these would have to be monster to fit a plug thru.

Good thought, on your further thought. I've mainly used them for power wires and the like.

I like those seals so much though I would go through the effort of de-pinning and re-pinning the harnesses :)
