What the 'tach'?!

Ok so I just got my car runnin after a rebuild. And my tach doesn't really work.

At first it didn't work when I got it up and running. Then a couple days later it starts to work sometimes... Like at around 0 - 1k sometimes it would drop down, but when I gave it gas it would pop back up. But now it just stopped working again!

I took the dash out and retightened everything back there, and nothin... Idk if it matters but it's an 87 dash in a 89...

have you checked your cps wires?
any codes?

No codes... I wiggled the cps a bit, but didn't really think that would do anything so I didn't really try... Lol I'll actually look at it tomorrow now, the wires look good though...

Well my tach randomly started working again!! Idk what's goin on with it, I'm thinkin a loose wire maybe but were would that be??
