Ok I was looking at a sub....here's the sub;
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-MTX-400-Wat...ryZ32823QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

then I want to see what kinds of stuff the seller lists on a regular basis because I'm not sure if this is a reliable safe seller or not...i'm not familliar enough with ebay to really tell how these larger less-personal ones are so i was suspicious.

how I look at the seller's list of items, and see the sub i was looking at in the list;
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsassZthedeepdiscountQQsbrsrtZl

and low and behold it shows NO bids....when I was JUST looking at it's individual listing with 24 bids and 34 dollars shipping....

so i wonder...glitch? I hit refresh....24 bids....free shipping WTF?

refresh again... 24 bids, 34 dollar shipping.... WTF!?

so i'm kinda confused... can anyone shed light on what to think about this seller and then what to think about how ebay kinda screwed up the seller's list? It seems like it's some sort of scam to get you to view the item... because when i see FREE SHIPPING or no bids next to a name brand item at a low reserve...naturally i'm going to look at it....

what gives???

To hell with those high feedback numbers on ebay. This is one of those examples of 99.6% positive feedback not being so good. He has 37 negatives........in the last month!!!!!! 160 in a year! My money is not going there.

exactly! that's a lot of unhappy people.

have any of you ever seen sellers who have multiple feedbacks from the same buyers? and MULTIPLE multiple feedbacks?

for example; I read one user's feedback but half of his feedback (pages and pages) was in 4-5 item purchase GROUPS. Same stupid "great seller" or whatever feedback on each item, copied and pasted. so there would be one user who would buy 10 things, one user would buy 8...so on and so forth. HUGE groups of items! and they were all private? how the hell do you make a sale private? i couldn't view ANY of this sellers sold items!!

BTW - did you guys check the LIST view or the item view or the store view? make sure you're in list view. it might do it.

^Yashar on ebay is all private. Im not sure what the deal is with that.

Most of the neg feedback is on either refurb'd stuff or its shipping being too high. So they are dishonest people in some way. Reason enought for me to stay away. And they always have the same stupid reply.

I view a negative feedback for shipping being too high as a pure idiot leaving the feedback. If you don't like the shipping charge, find a different item. Don't fault the seller for something you "agreed" to by bidding.

As for items being "Private", the seller may be selling items in the Mature Audiences category and want to respect peoples privacy. Or, he may be using the Private to hide something. You have to be your own judge there. But you will find most who use it do not have perfect feedback.

I noticed some "not new as described" neg feedback. They put new in the title. Then put refurb in the fine print. thats shady!

all great points...yeah I found that negative feedback as well and it was difficult to find where it said "remanufactured to manufacturer's specs"

Also..i searched for "refurbished" and found nothing, i had to search manually...and i found remanufactured instead, which i doubt most people would look for.
