When I started up my N/A car from sitting over the winter it wouldent idle under 1000 RPM. After checking all the plugs, TPS, ISC, ect., I couldent find the problem. It turns out it was a small check valve attached to the throttle body stop. I was kinda curious as to what it is called as I have never heard anyone talk about it going bad/cloging.

Haha, a little while back I had my TB out as well and I didn't know what it was. It's called the dash pot and its an emission system I believe. It's supposed to hold the TB open slightly when you let off the gas to allow any already injected fuel to fully burn out.

well, my car would stall if the RPM's droped below 1000. It has a little filter on the end, and when it cloged it wouldent let the diaphram fill with air when it starts-this action opens the TB slightly so it will idle. I cleaned the end of it and it worked fine
