What muffler to get?

I am doing an engine swap on my supra, my bad 7M-GE for a newer 7M-GE. I plan on going to the local muffler shop to get a custom 2.5' exhaust put on. What are some good, but relatively cheap mufflers I could get that sound good?

Magnaflow sounds mean as hell on a N/A. Thats what my old 87 had. Put a resonator in if you like to hear yourself think at 3000+ RPM.:biglaugh:

Borla is one of the nicest sounding mufflers I've heard for our cars. That will be my choice this summer.

Seriously if you dont wanna spend alot get an ebay one. I had one with the cat and was dissapointed due to the fact it was real quiet even with the silencer removed. When I took the cat out, it was loud as hell, but the good kind of loud. The 7M will never sound like a honda so there is no fear in what type of muffler you get. If you want something on the premium side, AEROTURBINE is the shit.

Megan with a resonator is decent. I have a 3" system and it isn't to bad.

take a look at dynomax mufflers... relatively cheap and really good quality.

Aside from that I had a magnaflow ss 2.25 in dual 3" outlet, sounded horrible with straight exhaust (no cat or resonator)... threw in a HUGE cherrybomb style glasspack and man, the thing sounded absolutely amazing.

I have ran open downpipe with a pacesetter header... it was tolerable and sounded mean as hell, lol. I don't suggest that though, I am probably just going to go with a magnaflow. The name has been around for a really long time, and they get you laid.
