Polished ones look very nice . I had em ...the Silver does not go well with the white Supra..eventhough the silver wheels are nice as well.
Color combination works better in polished with white.

Polished hands down. IMO nothing looks better on white, plus I am not a fan in any way shape or form of white wheels. Search "SAS90T" on supraforums, has a similar looking setup to what you would have if polished...

I'm pretty sure KeithH had white MKIV wheels on his white Supra. I'm not sure where you might get pictures of it besides asking him though. It looked sweet, still one of my favorite MKIIIs ever.

The wheels aren't as clean as usual and I didn't put in the centercaps. I have a much better pic somewhere - but it isn't online right now. Having the TT rims in white on a white Supra looks PIMP as hell! Thanks for the compliment swaq.

I am actually in the process of selling the rims now as I have finally picked up a set of rims that I have been looking at for 3 years now. I would like to have these rims done in white too. I have a couple people in line for these rims/tires already - I just need to get better pics (and a shipping cost).

you should see it with the alternate (muffin tin) center caps - Even hotter! My favorite picture is the car on the scenic drive to Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas. WOW!

The white on white is nice, but personally I vote for the silver on white. White on white is just too bland for me, the contrast of silver on white just does something for me. Thats probably why I plan on going with black rims with a polished lip on my mk3. But in general I dont think you can go wrong either way.

Powdercoating will create a better surface for cleaning - you would be able to simply wipe them clean. With paint you have to do some scrubbing.

Also, if I were to have these rims redone I would make the outer lip polished and only paint the insides. That would also help protect the lip during mounting and unmounting of the tires.

My new rims are darker (gunmetal) with a polished lip. I would like to have them redone in white someday. Gotta do that BBK upgrade too - the 18's are going to leave a lot of open space with the stock brakes. :)

I remember you used to have a webpage up that talked about how you powdercoated your rims white and re-upholstered your interior. I bookmarked the page but it went down a while back. *checks again* Huh, looks like something is back up: http://www.supras.org/keith/ Are those the new rims you got?

I'm currently living in Beaverton... You still in the Portland area?

I suggest the regular silver, not polished. There's no other chrome or polished brightwork on the car, so why start now. Powdercoat the centers white and leave the rim silver...awesome looking.

woops! you caught me. Wasn't going to let those out yet. :) Changed the link so nobody else could see it easily.

Still trying to dig up the uber picture I have - I think it is on the server downstairs but have to do some hefty maintenance before I turn it back on.

Yep. Still in PDX - can SEE PDX from my home office window actually. We should get together for a 'rita or something.
