What light is it?

Okay, first want to apoogize for I have no pics, but the light just to the left of the temp gage, kinda looks like the building on the back of the penny, what is it for. I assumed it was for the air filter? but nothing seems to make it go out unless I am actively turning right. Any Ideas what the light is and a possible fix?

That would be the Low fluid level in the coolant resivour light.

Sometimes this can be a bad thing...........

^ yep, hes right, add water to your overflow tank, and your good to go, it would also be nice to check coolant level at the same time as well

Thats just it. I have been checking it on the regular. About once every few days or so. I just changed the HG on it about 2 months ago and its been holding fluid ever since. And it been good. been a couple days though. I'll check it when I get off work then. Thanks.

Its possible the sensor is bad/stuck to.

What head bolts did you do and did you do a retorque?

Rent a pressure tester from kragen or something and check for leaks. If no leaks are found proceed to compression and block test for bhg.

Ok, will be honest here. I stuck with the stock head bolts. I got an Autozone HG, and torqued to 72. The only reason why I didn't upgrade is because the engine is pretty much much shot on the bottom end and I am currently assembling a 1jz for it. Also I leave in a few weeks for 4 months on a deployment so the car will likely sit the entire time. All while gone I will be purchasing parts and finishing assembly on the motor shortly after I get back. I am just trying to get all the machine work done before I go. But anyways, yeah, I did do a retorque. so I just needed a bandaid fix. if it is hg then it lasted almost as long as I needed it to.

Just never seen the light before and was curious as to what it was. Didn't have that light in my supra over in japan. atleast I never noticed it. Thanks for all the input though.
