What I've been up to!! Some Pics

Hey guys, It has been a while since I have done much to my car, until this summer:icon_bigg . It all started when I popped a intercooler hose, and from there as always I decided to do a few upgrades. its not really a build thread as most things are already done, but I will keep this thread up to date as more work is soon to come. I've been running it hard for the past 3-4 years with a slight rod knock, but as she is now seing real boost, the knock is getting slightly louder, so when this engine dies, she will see a full rebuilt with forged internals. I have a replacement engine sitting in my storage.

I still have quite some work to do. Upcomming plans are a front lip, Maft-Pro or AEM (leaning more towards AEM at that point) Repainting the engine bay (when I pull engine), full rebuilt engine with forged internals, and valvetrain.

I have yet to dyno, but I'm confident she will put down some good number. Its amazing how hard she pulls at 12psi, forget about 19psi:icon_bigg

To recap, I currently have:

Stock block - Ron R FFI - Ebay 12x24x3 Intercooler - Ebay Exhaust mani - Garrett 60-1 T04 - RC550s - MKIV Fuel pump - Aeromotive AFPR - Full flow Oil system - Tial BOV, Wastegate - Q45 TB - Lexus AFM, I'm probably forgetting a couple of things.

Very awesome! Just a question, but did you buy your car from an owner in Texas? There was a car for sale about a year ago that I remember, looked almost exactly like yours.

What wheels side you have?

Time in 1/4 or 1/8 track?

I also will install a nos system for the lag.
Ihave Water injection.

Thanks. I saw my thread ressurect and I was like "what the hell happened", lol. I have a .68 exhaust housing. Lag is not bad at all, and when it kicks in, its well worth it. I have been boosting it to +-19psi without any problems on pump gas. I have never dynoed the car since that set-up, I has been tuned (street) but since I added a VPC, it runs to rich, in the 10s, so I have to re-tune it. Actually this weekend there's an event at the local race track where I can get some Race fuel, then I'll try to schedule some dyno pulls before I waste the race fuel, lol. I have never taken it to the drag strip, I'm more aiming for road racing/solo fun etc.

Since the thread has been brought back to life, I guess I'll add some updates.

Added Brakes, ARZ 4 pistons in the front, MKIV TTin the back with Brembo rotors.
Installed Whiteline Adjustable Sway bars front and rear (Will post pics later)
Installed Megan R Coilovers as well
Installed Koyo rad with FAL fans + SPAL controller (Will post pics later)

Shine auto Lip and whaletail(not painted yet)

Started concentrating on my interior this weekend. I will never change carpets ever again, lol

Time to get serious. My last and first ever dyno session was stalled by fuel cut, but I did get decent numbers considering it would'nt go past 4800rpm

I did eventually find that both my wastegate lines were dry/cracked due to being to close to the dump pipe, and it has been since fixed. However I was still running into fuel cut with my S-AFC/VPC set-up at +- 19psi depending on ambient temps. So I decided to go all out.:icon_bigg

It should be installed this upcomming week, and I will see how far I can push my stock internals engine with a 4/5 year rodnock:biglaugh: My spare engine is begging to be rebuild with racing parts. I will keep you guys posted.
