I'm about to buy a turbo 87 and There is a thick hose on the back of the block that is capped off with a spark plag???:nono:

This cant be good...

haha where on the back of the "block" I'm assuming you mean out of the back center area of the head, thats part of the heater core plumbing.. could indicate a lazy cheap bastard who didnt wanna replace the heater hose or a leaky heater core? unless you mean the one coming off the metal line that goes around the side of the motor, in that case the one on the left side by the firewall should be plugged... not by a damn spark plug though

That cant be good. If someone is willing to shove a spark plug in any hose i wouldnt buy a car from them IMO. If you do buy it i would look it over with detail and fix all the rig ups on it.

yeah this guy seems like an ultranoob to do some bullshit like that.. id look over the car very well before you buy it from him. Nothing is worse for a car than a half ass do it yourselfer

still reconsider,if they used a spark plug to plug a heater hose,they might as well have used cooking oil in the crankcase or rope as a seat belt.look for a tercel or something.
