Nah that's the Lincoln Memorial light.

Seriously though, what was Toyota thinking putting that cryptic thing on the dash. It sort of looks like a radiator...if you have a Rolls Royce.

time for a compression test. this sucks.

Instead of a compression test, could you just see if you have water in the oil?

Wouldn't you get better result from a radiator test? It might not be a B.H.G.

there seems to be little oil residue in the overflow tank
but no water in oil as far as i can tell. i will compression check anyway..

you can have a bhg and still not mix enough water to see it in the oil.
compression test shows you how much psi in the cylinders and a leak down test will show you how long it stays there.

another good test for a bhg is the block test to test for combustion gas in the cooling system.

These cars to like to take a while to burp all air out of the system. If its a fresh rebuild it might take some as it purges the air out.

not true. fill system, start car, watch the fluid in the rad drop in about 3 min, fill rad, put cap on and fill over flow up 3/4 of the way and your good to go.

ive been threw 2 bhgs and drained and refilled the cooling system countless times and have never had to sit there for a hour trying to burp the system.

Some people have trouble with the heatercore. Depends how you do it the first time. Driving the car can dis lodge some small bubbles.
