however in Japan this same car is rated at 400+. A tuner car shop can purchase,(about $600), the codes to reset the computer to overseas specs, giving you the 400+ horsepower this car is capable of. Pretty cheap horsepower, 168+ for $600!

I'd like to know what shop can do that :3d_frown:

But the best point of the add is

Reminds me of a 19.95 deal on tv. and if you buy it right now i will throw in the a boost gauge that will add 30hp.

this explains why the MK4 is so much better, damnit, we've needed the retuned ecu this whole time!!!

170hp increase for 600...that's only 3.60 per HP!:sarcasm:

everything sounded cool until that douche statement. Although, if it runs good, that price is pretty good..

That one is true if you go to advance auto or napa and try to get a turbo for our cars it will come up as a Holley rebuilt turbo. not sure why but it is how it is stated.

His local race shop says it's worth $5K, obviously those guys know what they're talking about...he should just sell it to them, and they can unlock the other waiting hp, and pull low 11's all day long! sigh, another p.o.s. with a waterhead owner.
