I just put my engine back together and I should have replace that stupid starter but i didn't and now it's giving me problem. Gona take it out and see what the hell is wrong. The new problem I have is when I turn the key to ON, it doesn't actually go to on, it's as if the key is still stuck in ACC mode and the ding ding ding sound keep playing even with the door close and the vac gauge still read -4 so I am guessing that it didn't go to ON. It was working fine yesterday when i tested it out. Bad switch? or is something else going on?

I have a one other question. Below the intake manifold is two vac switch i guess that have red connector, the one on the right i have a plug from the harness but the other one on the left near the alternator I can't seem to find a plug anywhere for it? is it suppose to be plug in or did my plug pop out of the harness when i took it off?

those are your vsvs if they are red and have vacum lines hooking them up... if they are just red plugs on your block then thats you ks... either way that wouldnt stop the car from starting....

does it make any noise at all when you turn to start? check your connection from the battery to the starter.. also maybe the relay as well

I took the starter out and tested it, it work. When it was on the car all it does it engage the starter but it won't spin. I don't know if this is what causing it not to spin. When I put the engine back together and did the test to see if it spin the engine spin fine. I put the tranny in but I don't think i tested it to see if it spin b4 i put it back in the car. When I put the main pulley back in to hook up all the belts I can't rotate it. I am thinking that the starter doesn't have enough power to crank the engine or the connection between the engine and tranny somehow got stuck when i put it back together ? Would suck if I have to pull the engine out again and see what the hell happened. O and the tranny is automatic.

I am guessing not many people encounter the problem I have :). Anyway, I took some stuffs off and see if i can turn the crankshaft and I can't it turn either way. I can turn the cam so I know that's not what stopping me from turning the main pulley. When I had the engine off and put it back together I tested it out and it turn fine. Now with the tranny in it, I can't turn the main pulley. Is this tranny related somehow along with the drive shaft?

I may have to take the engine out again and see what might be the problem is.
