My BHG leak was so tiny that it used only a small amount of coolant every week or two. But I really knew it was there when I went on an extended drive, say an hour or two. It would build up so much pressure in the cooling system that it would overfill the plastic bottle by 2x.
I tried all the patches, prayer, and re-torque, etc. After 3 months of fooling around, I pulled the head. I found a tiny spot where combustion gasses were leaking INTO the cooling system between #5 & 6 cyl. :icon_mad:
