i know you guys are all against stupid questions but uh:1zhelp: .. what is the best setup for my 1jzgtte?? i see so many great setups here and i have read allot from the threads the past year but i get confused and i dont know how to go about it. down here there are allot of custom manufacturing capabilities and and i can get allot of parts but mostly stock and second hand parts from japan.:nono: . ordering parts would be too expensive and risky so im gonna have to do it all myself, and see what parts i can rip..competent tuners are unavailable they reject the car since they dont know squat about it and toyota has rejected me down here due to the memo that came out about not giving service to any cars that hasent been or is in their lineup:3d_frown: ..and a dyno is out of the question... forums are my only source of info for my car!. i see allot of good ideas that ive thought about putting to use in my engine but im afraid im going to mess up my engine instead...

my only mods now on the car is a trust 3" exhaust,KYB 3 puck clutch, apexi bov, k&n filter, apexi metal headgasket that i ordered from suprastore.com and took freekin 6months to arrive and was a blow to my budget due to expensive ass shipping.
all i need is some ideas on what setup that will work, cost little money, and that takes as little aftermarket parts as possible, except the parts that i can have duplicated or custom made..=)

Asking what's the best set up, is like asking who is the hottest chick. You'll get 18 different answers, from 18 different opinions. And we know what opinions are like... :dunno:

Do some research and then decide for yourself. Find something (looks, dyno, sound, ET) and emulate (not imitate). Good luck to ya.

i was looking for a bit of everything really but most for cross and street.. well my problem with the car is if i take a little ideas here and there il just use allot of money and just loose power instead... you guys are the only "experts" i have so maybe some advice on what to do for startes will do and from there il learn how the car acts under different conditions.. nothing is illegal down here so i can do just about anything with it.. im driving arround with no cat and ect.doesent matter.. ive bought some bottles of alcohol and meth and have been researching racefuel... just dont know what kind of mix is essential.. i dont wanna get a bhg again..mabe some ideas there too?
the mk3 really draws allot of attention at night here, theres been allot of freekin honda sir's wanting to drag me, and a cocky evo7 that i smoked cuz he sucked at shifting..idiot.hahaha

hey..that old gasket hasent been changed since it came out from the assembly line. the previous owner didint know squat about maintenance so every time it was leaking they sprayed it with copper and didnt even re torque it properly, so it was about time i changed the thing too. sooo whats advisable to do first? for basic platform?

well if you want to keep your stock twins instead of goin single... then buy a manual boost controller... and how is it there in the P.I. now... do you have a laptop??? if so i would look for a greddy e-manage... see if anyone here at SM is selling one....

yeah i was thinking of buying a boost controller but then i got to know of ceramic turbines and boost cut of so i dont know where im going with it now. you dont happen to have some advice on which part of the engine to work most on to make the most increase in power and rev capabilities. i have already removed my rev limiter.
