I cant find much and want what the manual sez. I found somebody saying it was between 150-170 but thats gotta be too much of a gap. What is the actual compression in psi's for the Aristo 2jzgte?
Hey theres some kewl information on how some 2jz's where used as patrol cars, does anybody else here have some info on the specific psi's toward the cylenders? Cant go off off 150-170 still.RockPaperSwoRD;1169330 said:

For example, in a Haynes manual for a 4age motor, to do a compression test it calls for you to warm up the motor, take out all the spark plugs, put the compression gauge in each cylender and crank it, i do it about seven times with the efi fuse out and the ignition fuse out with the throttle body wide open for for 179 psi's. Thats fine and dandy for its in writing. You ppl keep going "ummm its around 150-170" " My crank test was this and that", throw manuals at me with no usefull info... I dont care!!! I need something specific for what the book calls for!!! If paco tells me his tests where 170 all the way down and i get 150 all the way down what can i say?? Oh my psi levels are in tolerance with pacos motor because he told me 150-170. How do i know paco aint got oil problems causing his motor to have higher compression, oh bc they told me on the supramania.com lol. Only thing I have gained on this forum is "Go to driftmotion".

Thank you sir, actually I tried google, but not for the manual. For compression results. You should try ebay!!!Zumtizzle;1169580 said:Listen here you.

Really?? Maybe thats why im asking what the book sez so I can get an ideal idea of what it is. All i hear is mine is this and that and as long as its this it should be that. Thats why I bought the book. THE END.tissimo;1170134 said:The tests will vary depending on MANY MANY factors. Battery charge level/health (crank rpm), spark plugs in or out, number of cranks, engine temp, etc etc etc.. You cant compare yours vs someone elses to compare engine health. The numbers vary too much. The MAIN reason for a compression check to is check for variances between cylinders.
