What if I unplug the Map sensor from the manifold? will that get rid of feul cut? The reason i think you might be able to is because i ran a turbo motor/ecu harness in a non-turbo body/body harness and it ran fine without a map senor. I do believe it is only for the stock boost gauge. Also on a mr2 there is a resistor at radio shack you can by that will get rid of fuel cut. I know its not the "best" or "most reliable" way to get rid of it, but i dont have $100+ for a FCD.

I am guessing you are talking about the stock boost gauge sender.

Disconnecting it will only make your gauge quit. It has no relevance to the ECU or it's fuel cut function.

Hmmm.. Now I'm not sure what you are asking.

The 7M-GTE has a MAF sensor, not MAP based. What exactly are you thinking of disconnecting?

hes talking about putting a resistor at either the boost pressure sensor (the box over on the fender) or on the AFM harness.

My buddy has an MR2 and its a great little car. However, its doesnt work on the supra. Also since you are planning a rebuild (per your other thread) an FCD or any other work around is the last thing that should be going on in your mind. You can tune with the safc and safely raise fcd by a good bit, but again on that stock turbo its not going to last you very long and you will have diminished returns as you increase boost after a certain point.
