I think many things wrong throughout the day. I will never act on them however.

If the terminals are hot dont touch them again.

Sorry about the poor grammar i was in a rush. ok low fuel is a possibility. im not so much worried about that. just the battery terminals were very hot. I've never had this happen before. Any ideas? Short?

Ok so wait. If you touched the individual terminals they were hot? As in you didnt touch them together?
If so that sounds like a short somewhere. Either that or the cables are crossed on the battery. Check all your fuses and relays first. If they all check out then start looking into your wiring. Look for frayed/cut wires.

Short circuit and overloading will ... Hopefully you did not cross the battery starter wire with the Body ground wires :( .
They are both black and same gauge....jst a thought!

Ok this is how it went down exactly. I just put the motor back in hooked it all up. i spilt a little bit of coolant on the conection to a vsv valve. hooked up the batt ery. ground cable to block positive to starter. Tried to start the car for a good minute to a minute and a half. Car turned off. went to check the battery terminals as i did not tighten them down hard. when i touched them it felt like grabing the exhuast pipe after a 4hr run on the freeway. Also the efi fuse was pulled out when i was trying to start the car i pulled it when i pulled the motor. Thats the low down.

No it would explain your car cranking but not firing.

You do have the battery hooked up correctly right? Positive on positive and negative on negative right?

Between the long crankig time and loose terminals, that would cause the heated terminals. If they are still getting hot tightened properly, look into replacing the cables. If you are using those cheap clamp the cable in the terminal battery termnals, replace the cables.

this is a mess.

Dont get your face near that battery if its that hot.

...if you have a car with Electronic FUEL Injection...its sure as hell not going to start if the Electronic FUEL Injection can't get power send any FUEL into the engine. Did you even try starting it will all the parts replaced?
