I couldn't live with buying a HDTV that was less then 50" 1080p LED and 240 hz.

I used to have 33 Blu-rays back in the day ( early adopter ), but I sold them when I was broke. Now I have one that came with my 3rd PS3 ( since I sold the first 2 ), and thats Pineapple Express. I also probably do what you do and use the PS3 as my media server and stream all my movies on my PC to the PS3 to TV . It's great because now PS3 supports almost every format where back in the day it didn't support shit.

I'm jealous of your ST box sets.

I do have 140 DVD / Blu-ray rips but it would take too long to list.

LED is decent, but not all it's cracked up to be. Small things on a dark background can be completely invisible because it isn't large enough for that LED to be triggered. The best example I heard was stars in space, in something like Star Wars.

Sucks on your TV prices. There is a new vizio ( not the top brand but when you hear the specs ), 55", 1080p, 240 hz, led, built in usb port.... for $2000 RETAIL coming out soon here.

Right now all I really have for high def is my monitor. I must say this thing kicks ass I love it though. 24" 1080p hdmi or dvi , 50,000:1 contrast ( I know these don't really mean shit since they are un-tested really ), 2ms response.

I don't have time to list all of my DVD's. Mostly comedy and horror though. They can be seen being played on a 52" wide screen broadcast in 1080p. Sound comes from a 7.1 surround sound with the factory sub replaced with a 12" powered sub. The neighbors hate me.

You say that you won't need the extra 120 hz, but I remember hearing the same thing from 60 to 120. Now look at the new tech that's coming out. Most 3D glasses or technology is currently based around 120 hz and won't work with 60 hz TV's. Future tech could do the same thing from 120 to 240. But your also missing a key to what I said. RETAIL price. $2000 before retailers mark them down. I'm sure a few days after they are released you'll be seeing them go for around or near the same price of the one that is currently at Wal-mart, and that will go lower.

Piece of advice.. Either read the books first, or read the charactor bios on IMDB.. that way you get an idea of the whole background.. Unfortunately you can easily get lost in the movie trying to figure everyone out.. It would be easier to read the IMDB... Character bios are broken up between all the books so you'd have to read all 4..
