Well I'm thinking this is probably one of those "you get what you pay for moments." $22.00 and $13.00 shipping doesn't scream quality and performance to me. I might be wrong though, but that's just my $.02.

To be honest, and I feel that alot of people will say this, an intake is an intake. A filter is a filter.

No it's not..... There's a link around to a comparison of different intakes and filters.. Very interesting read.
That ebay one specifically i wouldn't spend the money on. They're trying to imitate what a twin turbo intake setup would look like more than anything.
Just my opinion though... No scientific facts behind it.

yea i read it and i dont remember seeing anything about the ebay filters. the hks flows near the top but also lets the most amount of dirt through. the apex flows the best. K&N flows well. this one doesnt look bad, just replace the filter element with a generic 3 in K&N and be done with it.

Around
just get a generic 3" adaptor, and a K&N filter to match. poor man's FIPK, with the exact same benefits as the kit. then make your own heat shield, and you're set.

theres not much you can do for the hks. its not that it gets dirty its that it allows the most particle passage. this means air and dirt through the filter material and into the motor. id say just keep up with the replacement filters and your set.

I think I'll just spend the $ and get a K&N FIPK. I don't wanna get a cheap or half-assed intake.

do it u wont regret it. I spent the extra cash without even searching first. Then i searched, to find out that no others fit the n/a.

As far as performance, i get the biggest gain in the 2000 rpm range to 3500ish. Then 4200 when the acis kicks in u can feel a little more, but the biggest gain up top is around 5500 to redline. Before it pulled hard to 5500 and choked up bad.I also have a 2 3/4 exhaust so that also helps
