What did you guys pay for tint?

I'm looking to get some lumar metalized tint for the supra. Its doesn't have any on it right now so excluding that cost (to remove old tint), what did you guys pay for tint, especially lumar tint. I got my last supra done back in Austin for I think like $160-$170 for the top of the line lumar, and I went to a shop here in Houston and they wanted $220 for the same type fo tint on this supra.

I thought this was kinda high, any opinions?

i use 3m tint... and personaly think metalized tint is stupid but hey... anyways... i pay 250 for all windows... (including front)

do it to all my cars..

$110 for 5% on all windows sept windshield w/ lifetime warranty. My passenger door window is peeling a bit at the top gotta take it back in.

Note: Aluminzed tint has been rumored to keep in/block out signals IE for an alarm or your cell phone. just from what ive heard

We've got a couple options here in DFW...

Look in the SF South section. The place I went to, set us up on a group deal... 3M, strip-retint (keeping defroster) for $150.... Normally about $275 from anywhere else around here. They are about 5 minutes away from home, so I chose them. Then, about a week later, I replace the felt things in my doors and scratched the tint in each door !!!

Anyways, went back to 'em and they only charged $20 ($40 total) to redo each door. They know we have our MKIV coming in next week for a retint with this group deal, so maybe that helps.

Another member's grandfather would do the same for about $100, I think. That's more over towards Ft. Worth, wchich is about an hour from where I'm at.
