okay, I was taking out the oil vaper line that goes from the valve covers to the accoridan pipe, I accidentally blocked off the breather vents on the valve covers. I dident know it untill later but this caused the motor to pour out HEAVY smoke while driving and oil was coming out the BOV and it was pouring everywhere. Since I fixed the breathers to vent like normal and the engine is fine now. My question to all the gurus our there is mechanically how does this work? What would force the oil into the intake track in the first place I dont get how not venting the valve covers could generate massive amounts of oil in the intake and exhaust. I guess it creates a vacume situation how does the oil get from the bottom of the motor to pouring out the intake what path does it take to get there how does it work?

Redacted per Title 18 USC Section 798
As he said, it's blowby. Combustion gases leak past the rings and valves. This pressurizes the crankcase and upper head. The pressure must be removed or it'll build up. In the old days it was simply vented overboard but these days it's routed back into the intake to be burned after being mixed with fresh air. That's what the plumbing going to the accordian hose and throttle body are for. They don't call it Positive Cranckcase Ventilation (PCV) for nothing you know. You're lucky you didn't blow a gasket. If I were you I'd be checking for oil leaks after this little event. No offense but blocked PCV, frozen blocks, boost in neutral, etc...some of the stuff I read here is amazing.

Well at least I'm not the only one thats done it. DOH. The engine builds up pressure in the crankcase when its operating. To get the idea try breathing through your mouth with your mouth closed. The air will try to squeeze out your lips which is what happend to your engine.

but if he removed and blocked them off completely from entering back into the accordian hose, i dont understand how it dumped oil back into the intake/IC? i guess there are 2 pipes running into the accordian hose, maybe he left the other one pipe attatched?
