your afm cant read how much air is passing through it, when it doesnt know wtf is going on, it cuts your timing. for us its 12+ psi on stock afm.

or a boost leak.

fix your boost leek
how much boost?
an major exhaust leak could case same symptom of boost leek.

actaully

the AFM knows exactly how much air is going in.

What happens is that The engineers designed the cut fuel off to be activated by a turbo that is going higher and higher thanks to a disconnected waste gate. They never imagined that we would actually not want it but yes, the AFM knows exactly the air coming through by measuring the frequency of the vortexes.

Any type of waistgate failure will cause fuel cut also. (vac lines, actuator failure, sticky swing valve)

Figgie beat me..:)
