What are some recommended yet affordable Injector brands?

Rice? No its Corn (E85)
Looking at 1200cc-1600cc low impedance top feeds to th 2jzGE for e85(600whp daily). The bosch 120lb for $60 a pop from fuelinjectionconnection.com look good but it would be nice to do 800whp(future tense) on e85 with 1600cc from FIC in florida.

I am going to use fic when i go e85. My tuner likes them because they are the most dynamc, aka huge injectors still offer great idle control.

Why go low impedance?
Thats old school stuff!!

Any new decent injector today is High impedance, and still offers very nice control at low PW. ID injectors are all 8,5 to 12 ohms, and have excellent characteristics.
The other key to good low load fuel control is full sequential injection = 1 controlled shot of fuel pr intake stroke (requires min. 6 injector drivers).

Other types of injection methods use 2,3 og even 6 tiny small shots pr intake stroke (Depending on how many injector outputs you have on your EMS), and those tinysmall shots are hard to do with big injectors, as its outside their linear operating range.
That results in rough idle, uneven AFR's, etc... everything you relate to "lack of control".

Therefore, full sequential helps alot to control idle and low load situations. Top end performance is the same, but low end is a huge step forward.

AEM EMS v2 is the ecu. the injectors are already wired in full sequential.

Radial- im choosing Low impedance for the fact that its recommended by other forums for its stability in tuning. they where comparing high Z inj. to OEM cost(cheaper) and develpment(designed for low HP and less at demand for critical accuracy).Really just saying that they normally dont do well as low Z inj.

I've always wondered about aftermarket injector companies. Do any of them manufacture their own injectors, or do they buy Bosch/Siemens Deka/Delphi etc. and modify those? I'd like to buy unmodified large injectors straight from the factory rather than have some company drill holes in the cap to increase flow. Or whatever process they do. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, so they do a little more than drill holes on the tip. Here's an interesting read.

yeah, such a huge difference........

if a person is looking for a fantastic way to throw away a ton of money, then go for it, but you can have the same injectors for 1/3rd the price if you just buy from Bosch/S.D.

I bought my 1200s from fiveo injection
They are not pretty like Id or fic. But they work great. And their customer service is the best their is

I think you might got it a bit wrong.
Low Z behaves similar to High Impedance once resistors have to be installed.
You need to run without resistors, and have high current "peak&hold" drivers to get any advantage of the Low-Z's.

It's the high current consumption that gives the low Z it's advantage. High currents = fast and powerful magnetic fields = Fast injectors.
The drawback for a pure Low-Z system is the amount of heat generated in Injector drivers and the injectors themselves, requiring expensive electronic components and cooling solutions.
Once a resistor is installed, and the current is limited and dead times of the low Z increases. Injector specs are no longer correct and you need to measure the new dead time.

In short terms - If your EMS does not support Low-Z directly, I cant see any benefit of installing Low-Z's.

If you don't overshoot your injector size by a huge amount (example running 2000cc injectors on a engine requiring 500cc), apply the correct dead times for your injectors/setup, run sequential injection And tune it well - You should not have any issues.
